4) After measurement, clean the prism and daylight lid
from remaining solution using a moist cotton cloth. Let the
surfaces dry and carefully store the refractometer in the
supplied storage box.
Maintenance:
1) Adjustment of null: Liquid solution and refractometer
specimen shall have the same temperature. If temperature
varies heavily calibration shall be carried out every 30
minutes.
2) After usages, don´t use water to wash the instrument.
Water may find its way into the interior of the instrument.
3) A refractometer is an optical precision instrument and
shall therefore be handled gently with great care. Don´t
touch and scratch the optical surfaces. The instrument shall
be kept in a dry and clean environment. Please avoid strong
chocks during handling and transportation.
