• Wire cutter • Crimping tool • Solder gun • Tape
• Connectors (example: butt connectors, bell caps, etc.)
CAUTION!
All accessories, switches, climate controls panels, and especially air bag indicator lights
must be connected before cycling the ignition. Also, do not remove the factory radio with the key in the
on position, or while the vehicle is running.

Installation Instructions for AX-MITSUCAM
Connections to be made
The AX-MITSUCAM can be connected two different ways
To retain the factory back-up camera to an aftermarket radio:
• Connect the (3) Black wires to chassis ground.
• Connect the Red wire to accessory power.*
• If populated on the factory side, connect the Green/Purple wire to the reverse wire
of the aftermarket radio. If not populated, a reverse wire for the radio will need to
be sourced from the vehicle.
• Connect the male Yellow RCA jack to the rear camera input of the aftermarket radio.
• Tape off and disregard the following (1) wire, it will not be used in this application:
Yellow.
* It is highly recommended to use the AX-CAM6V (sold separately) to provide the
camera with the proper voltage.
To allow an aftermarket camera to be added to the OEM screen:
• Connect the (3) Black wires, and the aftermarket cameras ground wire, to chassis ground.
• Connect the Yellow wire to battery power.
• Connect the power wire of the aftermarket camera to accessory power.
• Connect the female Yellow RCA jack to the aftermarket camera.
• Tape off and disregard the following (2) wires, they will not be used in this application:
Green/Purple, Red.
Note: If the Green/Purple wire is not populated on the factory side, a reverse wire
will need to be sourced from the vehicle.
