English
1. Remove the top lid of the unit by detaching the two side hinges.
2. Remove the wool sleeves by releasing the fixing flanges.
3. Withdraw the holder plate plus the three cups from inside the chamber. Wash the unit
with soap and water in a sink.
4. Use the same washing process for the cups and holder plate (only available in R-
070170).
5. The wool sleeves are then removed from the flange once the rubber band is released.
Once ready, conventional washing methods can also be used. To assemble the sleeve,
proceed in reverse order. Make sure that the rubber band is folded twice over to ensure
optimum tightness.
6. If the wool sleeves are in poor condition, contact your MESTRA dealer to order a spare
set.
Sleeve fixation flanges are pressure-fit to simplify the dismantling process when the wool
sleeves have to be cleansed. Should it be difficult to perform (i.e., dismantling sleeves
during X-ray manipulation, unexpected flange shifts, etc) secure the flanges to the
developing housing with a few drops of conventional plastic-to-plastic (R-070170) or plastic-
to-metal (R-070180) glue.
WARNING
♦ Plug the X-ray viewer (only R-070180) into a 220 V, 50/60 Hz ground connection.
♦ Always avoid direct sunlight in the clinic or laboratory.
♦ Prevent accidental spillages of processing fluids (developer, fixing agent and washing
agent) inside the unit.
♦ Do not allow children or unqualified staff to use processing fluids and/or resulting waste.
♦ Never forget environmental hazards. Once used in full, dispose of processing fluids
following the manufacturer's instructions.
♦ Wash the unit periodically as specified in this manual.
