SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Before you use your rice cooker for the
first time, please read the safety instruc-
tions and save this user's manual.
• Do not make any changes to the rice
cooker. Only trained professionals
may dismantle the device and replace
its parts.
• Do not touch the power supply if you
have moist hands or you might be
electricuted or injured in other ways.
• Never immerse the body, the cable, or
the power plug of the device in water.
• To avoid being burned, never open
the lid of the rice cooker during the
cooking process.
• To avoid being burned, do not
move the device during the cooking
process. The escaping steam is very
hot, and the steam vent is located
near the handle.
• To avoid injuries due to hot surfaces,
touch the device only on the
intended handles.
• Make sure that the rice cooker's steam
vent is always uncovered.
• Please do not allow any children near
the device while unsupervised.
• Use only the supplied accessories with
the rice cooker.
• Use the inner pot only for cooking
inside this device.
• Operate the device only with a 220- to
240-volt power socket.
• Connect the device to a serparate
circuit. An overload due to multiple
devices (on the same circuit) can cause
the device to stop functioning properly.
• Plug the power plug all the way into
the socket.
• Do not the use the rice cooker if the
power plug does not fit firmly in the
socket or if the power plug is dama-
ged. Under no circumstances should
you ever kink, twist, or modify the
cable. Never put the cable under or
between heavy objects. A loose or da-
maged power cord can lead to electric
shocks or fires, short circuits,
or the development of smoke.
• Be sure to clean dirty contacts on the
power supply. Dirt on the contacts of
the power supply can lead to fires.
• When not using the device or for
cleaning purposes, unplug the
power cord and let the device
cool down completely.
• The rice cooker needs enough wall and
shelf space for the steam to escape.
• Never put the rice cooker on or near
hot surfaces.
• Put the rice cooker on an easily-ac-
cessible, waterproof, and sufficiently
stable working surface with a
minimum load-bearing capacity of
approx. (50 kg). Do not put the rice
cooker on or near the edge of the
working surface.
