Escaping steam can cause burns. Do not open the lid during hea-
ting and pouring. Hold the lid securely when pouring. Always use a
hotplate that is smaller than the gooseneck kettle.
DAMAGE TO THE KETTLE
Do not heat when empty or if the kettle contains small quantities of liquid, as this
may cause permanent discolouration and/or damage to the kettle.
Do not use the gooseneck kettle if it is damaged.
Make sure you place the hot kettle on robust, non-sensitive and heat-resistant sur-
faces.
Escaping steam may damage wallpaper, kitchen units and other objects. Please di-
rect the opening of the gooseneck spout away from them.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Remove lid
2. Fill the gooseneck kettle with water no higher than the MAX mark to avoid an
egress of boiling water from the lid or the gooseneck spout.
3. Replace the lid. Place the gooseneck kettle on the hotplate and heat.
The thermometer in the lid of the gooseneck kettle indicates the current wa-
ter temperature. The optimum temperature is 92 °C - 96 °C | | 198 °F - 205 °F
for brewing tea and coffee.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

The gooseneck kettle is not suitable for dishwashers. Before first use and later
use: clean your kettle with water and a small amount of detergent. Do not use
abrasive sponges, strong chemicals and additives. Dry the gooseneck kettle
immediately after washing to avoid residues or staining on the outside of the kettle.
DESCALING
To remove limescale deposits:
1. Fill the kettle half full with cold water and add vinegar or lemon juice.
2. Bring to the boil.
3. Leave to stand for approx. 15 minutes, then pour the mixture away and rinse tho-
roughly.
For excessive scaling, repeat steps 1-3 several times.
