Before You Begin

• Follow basic electrical safety precautions to protect yourself from harm and to
protect the appliance from damage.
• Install the appliance to a 19-inch rack or place it in a stable location.
• Verify the package content for your appliance type as listed in the table below:

Connecting Power

• First plug in power cord on the appliance. Screw it tightly on desktop models or
verify correct PIN connector installation on industrial models.
• Plug in the power cord to a power outlet.
• Power on the Barracuda CloudGen Firewall and wait 3-5 minutes until it fully
boots.
