TROUBLESHOOTING
If your heater shuts off unexpectedly or fails to operate, one of your heater safety features may have been
activated to prevent overheating. If this happens:
• Be sure the heater is plugged in and the electrical outlet is working.
• This heater is equipped with a tip-over switch safety feature which automatically shuts-off the heater if
it is not in an upright position. The heater will turn on again when it is properly oriented.
• Check for any obstructions. If you find an obstruction, turn the heater OFF and unplug it. Allow the
heater to cool completely, then remove the obstruction.
• Wait at least 10 minutes for the heater to cool. Plug the heater back in and press the Reset Button.
Follow the OPERATION instructions.

SAFETY FEATURES
This heater is equipped with several devices and features for added protection:
• A tip-over switch that disables the heater if accidently tipped over.
• A high temperature safety control prevents overheating (Hi-limit).
• A back-up thermal circuit breaker that will pemanently shut down the heater should it operate at higher
than normal temperatures.
• A SafeGuard
™
Alert Heat Indicator Badge that indicates the grille is hot and should not be touched -
turns from black to red (HZ-930 Series only).
• A heavy duty power cord and three-prong grounded plug.

HZ-910 Series is rated 5.0 Amps (600 watts) @ 120V, 60Hz.
HZ-930 Series is rated 7.5 Amps (900 watts) @ 120V, 60Hz.
