Redi Your Way® Installation Guide
Tile Redi® Custom Shower Pans
To help guide you through the shower pan installation process, we have provided the following Installation Guide,
which is intended to provide an easy to follow step by step process for the installation of your Redi Your Way® custom
shower pan, whether you are an experienced professional or a first‐time novice. In connection with your custom
shower base and shower project, please comply with the recommendations and standards established for such
projects from time to time by the Tile Council of North America, Inc.
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR REDI YOUR WAY® CUSTOM SHOWER PAN WITH PVC DRAIN
1. Frame out shower stall area to shower pan dimensions.
2. Sweep out any debris from sub floor.
3. Test fit shower pan drain housing into subfloor bore hole. DO NOT NAIL OR SCREW ANYTHING INTO THE PAN. DO
NOT SAND, CUT, OR MAKE ANY CHANGES/MODIFICATIONS TO THE SURFACE OF THE SHOWER PAN WHATSOEVER.
4. Make sure the shower pan is aligned properly and fits snuggly against the shower frame studs on all sides.
5. This step depends on whether there is access to the drain connection from below the subfloor.
a. If there is access from the subfloor below, then cut a section of PVC drain pipe which is long enough to extend
below the subfloor and easily make a connection to the waste water pipe. Brush PVC adhesive on the outside of
the cut drain pipe and quickly insert into drain connection, and then be sure the drain pipe extends far enough
below the subfloor so it can be conveniently connected to the waste water pipe following the installation.
b. If there is no access from the subfloor below, then make sure the drain pipe stubbed up from the subfloor is
adjusted to a height sufficient to fit properly into the shower pan drain connection (approximately 1
the substrate floor). Brush PVC adhesive on the drain pipe stubbed up from the subfloor, then quickly insert the
stubbed‐up drain pipe properly into the shower pan drain.
6. Using a ½" square notch trowel form a ½" thick Rapid Set or modified Thin‐set bed on the entire shower enclosure
substrate, making sure to apply the Rapid Set or modified Thin‐set all the way to the edge of the drain bore hole.
a. Please note: Do not place the Rapid Set or modified Thin‐set directly on a wood or Gyp‐Crete substrate. First,
waterproof the wood or Gyp‐Crete substrate with a fluid applied waterproofing membrane or NO. 15 or No.
30 roofing paper so the substrate does not absorb the water from the Thin‐set.
b. For larger pans place (2) wood furring strips in the mud, place the pan on the wood furring‐strips and slide the
pan into place at approximately a 45‐degree angle without the pan or the drain making contact with the Rapid
Set or modified Thin‐set.

Carefully remove the wood furring strips if used and lay the shower pan into place. Once in place, apply
pressure or wiggle the pan a little to make sure the Thin‐set spreads out evenly under the pan so the pan
makes proper contact with the Thin‐set. This process will ensure that the Rapid Set or modified Thin‐set will fill
in the footprint of the wood furring strips evenly. Using a level, make certain the shower pan is level on all sides
to ensure proper water drainage. If the pan is not level, put more pressure on the high side and wiggle a little
more. Important: DO NOT STEP INTO THE SHOWER PAN ONCE THE SHOWER PAN HAS BEEN SET AND LEVELED
UNTIL THE THIN‐SET HAS CURED COMPLETELY
8. Install the shower backer board and water proofing in accordance with the standards established by the Tile
Council of North America, Inc.
9. Seal and waterproof joint between backer board and the shower pan splash walls using Redi Flash® or 100%
silicone, and then cover the joint with a fluid applied waterproofing membrane on the shower walls over the
joint. Allow the Thin‐set bed to dry in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer. You are now ready
to tile to the shower enclosure. Only Rapid Set Thin‐set or any type of modified Thin‐set or Redi Poxy should
be used to lay tile on the pan.
10. Adjust the height of the drain as necessary to accommodate the floor covering.

En relación a su base de ducha a medida y a su proyecto de ducha, por favor cumpla con las recomendaciones y los estándares establecidos de tanto en tanto para dichos proyectos por el Tile Council of North America, Inc. INSTRUCCIONES DE INSTALACIÓN DE LA BANDEJA DE DUCHA CON DESAGÜE EN PVC REDI YOUR WAY® 1. Prepare el área del cubículo de la ducha según las dimensiones de la bandeja de ducha. 2. Barra cualquier tipo de escombro que haya en el subsuelo. 3. Compruebe que la caja del desagüe de la bandeja de ducha quepa dentro del orificio del subsuelo. NO CLAVE NI ATORNILLE NADA A LA BANDEJA. - Página 3 Guide d'installation Redi Your Way® Bases de douches personnalisables Tile Redi® Afin de vous guider au cours de la procédure d'installation de la base de douche, nous vous fournissons ce guide d'installation dont le but est de décrire une procédure d'installation pas‐à‐pas et facile à suivre de votre base de douche personnalisable Redi Your Way®, que vous soyez professionnel ou débutant. Dans le cadre de votre projet de douche et de base de douche, veuillez respecter les normes et les recommandations concernant ce type de projets établis de temps à autre par le Tile Council of North America (TCNA). INSTRUCTIONS D'INSTALLATION DE LA BASE DE DOUCHE PERSONNALISABLE REDI YOUR WAY® À DRAIN EN PVC 1. Encadrez la zone de la cabine de douche en fonction des dimensions de la base de douche. 2. Balayez les débris du sous‐plancher. 3. Procédez à l'ajustement du drain de la base de douche dans l'orifice du sous‐plancher.NE PAS CLOUER NI VISSER DANS LA BASE. NE PAS PONCER, COUPER OU MODIFIER LA SURFACE DE LA BASE DE LA DOUCHE. 4. Assurez‐vous que la base de douche soit correctement alignée et solidement ajustée contre les goujons du cadre de la douche sur tous les côtés. 5. Cette étape dépend de la présence d'un accès au raccordement de drainage par le dessous du sous‐plancher. a. S'il est possible d'y accéder par le dessous du sous‐plancher, coupez une section du raccordement de drainage en PVC de manière à ce qu'il soit assez long pour se prolonger sous le sous‐plancher et pour qu’il soit raccordé facilement à la conduite d'eau. Appliquez l'adhésif PVC sur l'extérieur du tuyau de drainage coupé et l'insérez rapidement dans le raccord de drainage. Assurez‐vous ensuite que le tuyau de drainage soit assez long sous le sous‐plancher pour pouvoir être facilement raccordé à la conduite d'eau à la suite de l'installation. b. Si aucun accès n'est disponible par le dessous du sous‐plancher, assurez‐vous que le tuyau de drainage dérivé du sous‐plancher est réglé à une hauteur suffisante pour être correctement raccordé au raccordement de drainage de la base de douche. (approximativement 1 7/8po sous le plancher support). Appliquez l'adhésif Rapid Set ou n'importe quel type de thinset modifié PVC sur l'extérieur du tuyau de drainage dérivé du sous‐plancher, puis insérez rapidement et correctement le raccord de drainage dérivé dans le drain de la base de douche. 6. À l'aide d'une truelle de ½ po à dents carrées, formez un lit de mortier de ½ po d'épaisseur sur l'ensemble de l'installation de support de douche de manière à s'assurer que le mortier soit bien appliqué tout autour de l'orifice du drain. ...
