• Lithium-ion batteries are mechanically sensitive. They can ignite due to
an internal short circuit or when coming in contact with air.
• A damaged lithium-ion battery, e.g. if the light becomes damaged, can
ignite 30 or more minutes later.
• Lithium-ion batteries must never be short circuited. A battery removed
for disposal can ignite due to a short circuit.
