Installation:
1.
Unpack the new pCO
2.
Add 5 drops of Electrode cleaner, RD-943905E, into the Cuvette provided with the electrode.
3.
Soak the electrode in the vial for 1 hour.
4.
Remove the electrode and rinse with plenty of distilled or deionized water.
5.
Empty the Cuvette and rinse with distilled or deionized water. Fill with distilled/deionized water up to one third the height of the Cuvette.
6.
Soak the electrode in distilled/deionized water for 24 hours. The electrode may drift excessively if soaked for a shorter time.
7.
Remove the cover of the temperature controlled electrode unit.
8.
Press the pCO
amplifier housing down, pull the metal tab outward, and lift the amplifier housing.

9.
Remove the old pCO
10. Remove the newly prepared electrode from the Cuvette with water. Gently shake excess water from the electrode.
11. Obtain a box of pCO
12. Press the electrode firmly into the jacket.
13. Remove the jacketed electrode from the box.
14. Look for bubbles between the membrane and the electrode. If bubbles are observed, gently move the electrode up and down in the
electrolyte to release the air bubbles. Press the electrode back into the jacket again.
15. Using a dry clean cloth or paper towel, thoroughly wipe and dry the gold contacts of the electrode.
16. Place the newly prepared electrode in the correct section of the measuring chamber.
17. Gently press the amplifier housing down onto the electrode.
18. Record in the maintenance schedule that the pCO
19. If all maintenance steps have been performed, place the cover over the temperature controlled electrode unit and press Restart
Analyzer key below the display in scheduled maintenance menu
