EXTENT OF GUARANTEE AND EXEMPTIONS
This guarantee covers product faults and defects through product failure, and
has no effect if these defects are caused by damage, incorrect use, negligence,
carelessness, modifi cations or repairs not carried out by UVEX itself. The guarantee
does not cover any problems arising from normal wear and tear or deterioration.
Duration of conversation mode, stand-by and the lifespan of the rechargeable battery
for the intercom system depend on conditions of use.
As for all perishable goods, the specifi cations indicate that the best battery
performance can only and exclusively be obtained in the fi rst six (6) months after
purchase, or up to 200 recharging cycles.
The guarantee covering the batteries will not apply if
- Recharge operations are carried out with a different charger from the one supplied
by UVEX;
- The seals on the battery show signs of being tampered with, handled or broken;
- The batteries have been used to power other equipment apart from the UVEX
helmet.;
In no case will the guarantee apply where the product certifi cation number has been
modifi ed, erased, cancelled, duplicated, removed or made illegible in any way, or if
the number does not correspond with the date of manufacture.
In accordance with the European Community law, UVEX will reject any guarantee claim if
- The consumer has delivered the FDF to the authorised retailer more than two (2)
months after discovery of the declared fault or defect;
- All the fi elds on the FDF have not been completed correctly and/or the product
purchase receipt has not been attached;
- a period of more than two (2) years has elapsed between the date of product
purchase indicated on the receipt and presentation of the FDF to the authorised
retailer;
- The purchaser has not acquired the product as a normal "consumer";
EXPENSES
If a guarantee claim is found to be late, the fault or defect is found not to exist or
the fault is not covered by the guarantee, the consumer will be liable to pay all the
expenses incurred in verifi cation, repairs and delivery of the product to UVEX by the
authorised retailer, and the cost of returning the product to the authorised retailer.
