SCOTT SPORTS shall not accept complaints or replace helmets that have been
used improperly.
Class A and B helmets are for alpine skiers, snowboarders and similar groups. Class
A helmets offer comparatively more protection. Class B helmets may offer greater
ventilation and better hearing but protect a smaller area of the head and give lesser
degree of protection from penetration.
III. HANDLING
HOW TO GET YOUR HELMET TO FIT LIKE A GLOVE?
SCOTT helmets are offered in a variety of sizes, making it easy for you to find the one
that fits just right. If your helmet does not fit or is too tight, then replace it with a differ-
ent size. Your SCOTT dealer will gladly help you.
The front of the helmet should be positioned closely just above your eyebrows. If the
helmet is too low, then it will prevent you from seeing potential dangers. If the helmet
is too high, then optimal protection is not ensured. Try to buckle on your ski goggles. If
the helmet fits properly, then your forehead is completely covered by the helmet and
ski goggles. Make sure to use ski goggles that are compatible with helmets.
INCORRECT
ADJUSTMENT OF THE HELMET FIT SYSTEM
Find your helmet and fit system at www.scott-sports.com.
Your helmet comes with the exclusive SCOTT MRAS / H ALO stabilizing and fitting sys-
tem. As with any new piece of equipment you should experiment with the adjustment
of your fit system before using the helmet.
To adjust your fitting systems, follow these steps :
To tighten the fit system, turn the dial clockwise to a comfortable fit. To loosen
the system turn the dial counterclockwise. The fit system should be snug but not
uncomfortably.
All Fit Systems: Turn the dial on the back of the fit system clockwise to attain a
-
smaller snugger helmet fit and counterclockwise to increase the size of the fit. After
adjusting the Fit System the helmet should fit your head securely and comfortably.
