Maintenance
01. Always unplug the pump from the electrical outlet before handling it.
02. Keep the pond water clean.
03. Always operate the pump completely submerged. Check the water level daily
to ensure the pump will remain submerged. Add water if necessary.
04. Clean the pump periodically to prevent mineral deposits and contamination.
05. Product is not to be operated below 41°F — Freeze Damage May Occur. If the
pump is installed outdoors in a North American freeze zone, ensure all water
is removed and the unit is completely dry and stored in a frost-free area.

Sunterra pond pumps are carefully inspected and tested to ensure both safety and
operating performance. However, failure to follow the instructions and warnings in
this guide may result in pump damage and/or serious injury. Sunterra will not be held
liable for any damage resulting from failure to observe this guide's instructions.
01. To reduce risk of electric shock, always unplug the pump from the electrical
outlet before handling or cleaning the pump.
02. To reduce risk of electric shock, inspect the pump and cord for damage before
installation or maintenance— replace pump if damage is found.
03. Do not exceed proper voltage as indicated on the pump's cord label. A GFCI
outlet is required.
04. Always keep the cord away from high temperature and heat.
05. To achieve the best flowing performance, the pump should be placed on a flat
surface and completely submerged in the water.
06. Do not let the pump run dry as this will shorten the pump's life.
07. Do not lift, hang, or pull the pump by the power cord.
08. Do not pump heated liquids.
