4. Push down on the cartridge until it fills with frosting.
5. Rotate the cartridge counter-clockwise to release it.
Unload cartridges when finished to save unused frosting
1. twist the collar from the cartridge to remove the tip and twist the cartridge onto the filler plate in the frosting container.
2. Press down on the plunger to release the frosting back into the container
Be sure to remove the filler plates from the empty frosting container before throwing them away.
1) HOW TO ADD COLOURING AND MIX (fig.10)
1. attach white collar mixer lid to end of cartridge then slide mixer into frosting.
2. Remove mixer and add 2 drops of liquid food colouring into cavity formed by mixer.
3. slide mixer back into place.
4. Mix until uniform colour is achieved.
2) HOW TO INSERT FILLED CARTRIDGE INTO FROSTING DECO PEN ( fig. 11a-11b-12-13)
1. Chose a decorating tip
2. snap the tip firmly into the yellow collar.
3. attach the tip and firmly twist the collar onto the cartridge.
4. Put the cartridge into the decorating tool in such a way that the notched filler (11a) fits into the slot (11b) of the decorating tool and then push firmly in
until it clicks.
SWITCH CARTRIDGE (fig.14)
1. Remove old cartridge by lifting up by the plunger
2. Repeat step 3 for new cartridge
DECORATING WITH DECORATING SET
like any tool, the cake decorating set takes a little bit of practice. But not mucht!. We suggest you try out your designs on a piece of waxes paper or tinfoil first.
You can experiment with different tips ad speeds too. then you'll be ready to beautifully decorate your goodies like a pro.
How to use (fig. 15):
1. select Fast or sloW.
2. Position the decorating tool where you want to start decorating.
3. Press the yellow lever.
4. to stop, release the lever and remove finger to stop the motor
to start, you may want to use sloW with all the tips. later you may find that Fast works better for tips with larger openings.
To fill cupcakes (fig. 16):
1. Fill an empty cartridge with the desired filling and insert the collar and the filler tip into the cartridge.
2. select sloW speed.
3. insert the filler tip 1/3 of the way into the cupcake.
4. Push the lever down all the way, slowly count to 5 and then release the lever.
5. Pull the tip out of the cupcake.
HELPFUL TIP FOR USING THE CAKE DECORATING SET
Here some tips to get the best performance out of your tool.
How to maintain the right frosting consistency: start with room temperature (20°C-21°c) frosting . if frosting gets warm and a bit runny, pop the
frosting cartridge( never the decorating tool itself ad this could damage it ) back in the refrigerator for a few minutes.
How to make shapes and decorations:
Writings: use the round tip and hold the decorating tool just as you would a regular pen. start using sloW speed at first.
Borders: when creating borders, you'll generally want to hold the decorating tool like a pen. there are lots of different borders you can make.
Here are two to try:
Shell borders - using the star tip, hold the decorating tool close to the cake with the speed on sloW. Push oN let out about1/2inch of frosting while moving
the pen slightly up from the cake and then back down. Release the lever and then start again. Continue all around the cake.
Ribbon borders - put the shorter end of the ribbon tip closest to the cake. Using Fast speed, start about 1/2 to 1 inch away from the edge of the cake. Push
down and move your decorating tool to your right. Come back around, making a loop and continue.
