Operating the instrument

The instrument is switched on using the mains switch (4).
The mains switch has two setting positions
ON
OFF
If the instrument is switched on, a green control lamp lights up in the switch.
After 5-10 seconds, the lamp lights up automatically. The lamp then shines from the start with full power. At the same time, the fan goes into
operation.
Adjusting the light output
The output of the light source can be infinitely varied by turning the two switches (2 and 3).
The left touch switch (2) reduces
the output brightness
Connecting the fibre optics
The fibre optics are connected here (1).
The instrument is supplied with a Storz adapter as standard.
Connection for potential compensation
The instrument is fitted with a plug-in device (4) according to DIN 42801 for connecting a potential compensator, which is used to earth the
instrument if it is operated in rooms of the application class 1 or 2E.
The potential compensation connection is to be connected via a respective earth cable to the central potential compensation of the opera-
ting theatre or the instrument trolley.

The plug of the mains connecting lead is attached to this mains connection (5).
Caution: It is essential to use the earthed mains cable supplied.
5.
Putting into service and operation
Make all cable connections before turning on the instrument.
Connecting the mains cable
Only use the mains cable supplied to connect the instrument to the supply voltage. Ensure that the mains voltage indicated on the instru-
ment is correct. Only connect the instrument to an earthed contact electrical socket.
Caution: Before connecting the mains plug, ensure that the correct current has been selected at the back of
the instrument using the mains voltage selector.
