SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the safety information carefully before using the unit!
In the case of extended absence or thunderstorms, unplug the unit from the mains.
• Power supply: Ensure that the power supply cable is laid in such a way that it does
not obstruct anybody and does not become damaged. The equipment must not be
used with a defective cable!
• Cleaning: Remove the power supply plug before cleaning the unit. Use a dry or
slightly dampened cloth and ensure that no moisture gets into the unit.
• Objects in the unit: Make sure that no objects can get into the ventilation slots and
openings. There is a risk to life due to electric shock!
• Repair: Repairs may only be carried out by qualified specialist personnel. The
warranty will be invalidated in the case of inappropriate access by third parties and
the safety of the unit can no longer be guaranteed. Never open the case of the unit
yourself. Even when disconnected from the mains, there is an acute risk to life due
to electric shock. Internal components may be damaged if touched.
• Location: Place the unit on a flat and level surface or hang in a suitable position (if
provision is made for this) using the appropriate hanging eyes on the unit.
• Warning: Depending upon the nature of the surface on which the unit is placed, the
natural heating of the unit can cause discoloration.
• Adequate ventilation: The ventilation slots of the unit must never be covered. Make
sure that there is a free space of at least 10 cm to the side of and above the unit and
that heat can be dissipated without obstruction.
• External influences: Never expose the unit to moisture (e.g. condensation or spray
water) or direct sunlight. Do not place the unit in the vicinity of heat sources, such as
heaters or self-heating devices.
• Mains voltage: Use the equipment with the voltage specified on the case only! Do
not plug the unit into the mains until all connection and installation work has been
completed.
