Internal Combustion Safety
Dangerous environment
• Do not use petrol tools in damp or wet conditions, or expose
them to rain. Provide adequate surrounding work space
and keep area well lit. Do not use petrol tools where there
is a risk of explosion or fire from combustible material,
flammable liquids, flammable gases, or dust of an explosive
nature.
Protect yourself from vibration
• Hand held tools may produce vibration. Vibration can cause
disease. Gloves to keep the operator warm may help to
maintain good blood circulation in the fingers. Hand held
tools should not be used for long periods without a break.
Protect your hearing
• A lways wear suitable hearing protection when tool noise
exceeds 80dB. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure
that other people near to where the tool is to be used are
also suitably protected.
Switch off before connecting
• E nsure that the engine is stopped before connecting any
accessories to the tool. If the tool stops unexpectedly, make
sure the engine is not running before attempting to check the
tool.
Never leave the tool running unattended
• Always wait until the machine has come to a complete stop
before leaving it.
• Never leave the machine unattended when parts are still hot.
• Never leave machine unattended where children, may have
access to it.
Running in the engine
• W hen the tool is new only run the engine at moderate speed.
• D o not maintain high engine speed until the engine is fully
run in.
• T he engine will not be capable of developing maximum
power until the end of the running in period (approximately
30 minutes).
• When first using the tool, stop and make sure that all nuts
and screws are securely fastened and tighten them as
necessary.
• Do not use fuels containing methanol, or ethanol, as these
may cause internal damage to the fuel tank and fuel lines.
Servicing
• I t is recommended that the tool is serviced shortly after its
first use.
• In normal use, have the tool serviced regularly.
• Do not attempt to alter any of the components of this tool. To
do so would not only invalidate your guarantee, but may also
result in injury to yourself, or others around you.
• Always have your tool serviced at an authorised service
centre.

AS SOON AS THE ENGINE IS RUNNING. THESE GASES MAY
BE COLOURLESS AND ODOURLESS. TO REDUCE THE RISK
OF SERIOUS OR FATAL INJURY, NEVER RUN THE MACHINE
INDOORS OR IN POORLY VENTILATED AREAS. ENSURE PROPER
VENTILATION WHEN WORKING IN TRENCHES OR OTHER
CONFINED SPACES.
Petrol Vacuum Blower
Unpacking your Petrol Vacuum
Blower
• E nsure that all parts of your leaf blower tool are present and
in good condition. If any part is missing, or damaged, contact
your retailer and have such parts replaced before attempting
to use this tool.
Assembling your Petrol Vacuum
Blower
Assemble accessories
• Connect the blower straight tube (14) and blower nozzle tube
(15). Push the plain end of the blower straight tube into the
socket of the blower nozzle tube; twist until the screw holes
align and secure with screws provided.
• Connect the vacuum straight tube (21) and the vacuum
nozzle tube (22). Use same method as above for blower
tubes.
• Unzip the collection bag (19). Insert collection bag tube (18),
socket end first, into the collection bag. Push the socket end
of the tube out through the elasticated throat so that only the
wide end remains within the collection bag (see Fig 3). Zip
the collection bag closed.
Assemble unit for blowing action
• Push the socket of the assembled Blower tube over the
Discharge port (12) and rotate until it locks into place and the
screw holes align. Secure with screws provided.
• Check that the Nozzle tube is facing upwards at its tip, as
shown in figure 1.
Assemble unit for vacuum action
• Remove blower tube if attached
• Push the socket of the Collection bag tube (with Collection
bag attached, see 'Assemble accessories' above) over the
Discharge port (11) and rotate until it locks into place and the
screw holes align. Secure with screws provided.
• Unscrew the Vac port cover (13) and open
• Push the assembled Vacuum straight tube into the Vacuum
port (20) and rotate until it locks into place and the screw
fixing aligns with the screw hole (See Fig 3). Secure with
screw
IMPORTANT NOTE:
• If the tubes are not correctly fitted to the unit it could result
in a severe loss in performance.
• This unit cannot be used in blow and vacuum mode at the
same time.
