WORKING WITH ANY APPLIANCE.

Important Safeguards:

▪ Check that the main voltage corresponds with the rating of the appliance in water or any other
liquid
▪ Do not touch hot surfaces- use handles or knobs
▪ To protect against electric shock, do not immerse cords, plugs or appliances in water or any
other liquid
▪ Do not leave any appliance unattended while it is operating
▪ Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children
▪ Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning.
▪ The heater must not be located directly below a socket outlet
▪ Do not use this heater in the direct surroundings of a bath, shower or swimming pool
▪ Do not operate the heater with a damaged plug, cord, or if it has been damaged in any manner
▪ The use of accessory attachments is not recommended and may cause injury
▪ Do not use outdoors
▪ Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or let it come in contact with any
hot surfaces
▪ To disconnect, remove the plug from the outlet. Do not pull the plug out by the cord
▪ Allow a 50cm safe area around the heater on the top and sides, and a 120cm safe area at the
front
▪ Never use a heater in a room with explosive gas such as petrol or while using any kind of
flammable glues, sprays, or solvents
▪ Prevent overheating of the appliance by keeping the air inlets and outlets clean and free of
anything that may cause blockage. Check all inlets and outlets regularly for accumulated dust
▪ WARNING- in order to prevent overheating, never place anything on top or over top of the
heater. If overheating should occur, the built in safety device will shut the heater off
▪ Do not place anything on top of the heater
▪ A tip-over switch is built in to prevent operation if the heater is tipped over
Operation of the DeltaMAX Heater:
▪ Remove the heater from all packaging and place it in the desired location
▪ Ensure that there is a safe distance between the heater and furniture, curtains etc.
▪ Unwind the power cord and and plug it into the power outlet
▪ To activate the heater, turn the knob clockwise to the '*' position for cool air. Turn know to 'I'
for low power and 'II' for maximum power
▪ Use the thermostat knob to set your desired temperature
▪ When you feel the room temperature is comfortable, turn the thermostat switch counter
clockwise slowly until the unit switches off.
▪ The thermostat will keep the room at this desired temperature automatically
