To get the PBX up and running, you need to activate the licence.
To do this, log in to the Gigaset portal for sales partners, open the section for T440/
T640 PRO and activate the license there, or activate the phone system directly using
the license file provided.

Connecting to the local network (LAN)

To ensure that the PBX is recognised in the local network, you may need to adjust the
network configuration to the local infrastructure, i.e. the IP address must be in the
same subnet (

Connecting IP phones

The LAN ports support PoE (Power over Ethernet) in compliance with the IEEE 802.3af-2003
standard, i.e. they supply power via the Ethernet cable if the connected device is PoE-capable
(e.g. a Gigaset IP phone).
Further connection options (e.g. for analogue and ISDN telephony) are provided in
the Administrator Guide.
