INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE

Installation
Ensure that all packaging materials have been removed from inside the oven.

WARNING: Before using the oven, ensure that it is in good condition and that

now part seems damaged (loose or incorrectly aligned door, damaged seals or air-
tight surfaces, broken or loose hinges and locks, dented interior surfaces or door). If
any part is damaged, do not operate the microwave; call a qualified technician.
The oven must not be placed in an excessively hot or damp room. No flammable

materials must be placed near the oven.
The oven must be correctly ventilated. No object must be placed within 20cm of the
4.
top, 20cm behind and 5cm to the sides of the microwave. Do not remove the feet.
Furthermore, the air-vents must never be covered or obstructed.
Do not operate the microwave without the turntable, roller or rotary axis being
5.
correctly installed.
Ensure that the power cable does not extend underneath the oven or on a hot or
6.
sharp surface.
The plug must always remain easily accessible so that the appliance can be
7.
unplugged quickly in the case of emergency.
Radio interference
While operating, this microwave is susceptible to creating interference with radios,
televisions and other similar appliances.
Interference can be reduced or removed in different ways:
Clean the door and the microwave's air-tight surfaces.

Re-direct the aerial on your radio or television.
2.
Reposition your oven in relation to the receiver.
3.
Move the microwave further away from the receiver.
4.
Plug the oven into another socket such that it is plugged into a separate circuit to
5.
that of the receiver.
Principles of cooking in a microwave
Carefully place food in the microwave with the thickest parts nearest the edges of
1.
the plate.
Follow the cooking time indicated. Set the shortest cooking time indicated and
2.
then extend if necessary. An overcooked food item can be susceptible to causing
smoke or even catching fire.
Food items must be covered to avoid splashing and to guarantee uniform cooking.

To speed up the cooking time, turn food items such as chicken or hamburgers over.
4.
Large sized foods (roasting joints etc.) must be turned at least once during cooking.
In the middle of cooking, turn the food over and move from the inside of the plate
5.
to the outside and vice versa for food types such as meatballs.

Earthing
This appliance is designed to be earthed. The power cable includes an earth wire and
an earth terminal, and must be plugged into a socket that includes an earth carrying
an earth pin. In case of short-circuit, earthing reduces the risk of electric shock. It is
recommended that you plug the microwave into a separate circuit supplying no other
appliance.
WARNING : The incorrect use of an earthed plug can cause electric shock.

Utensils
For microwaves, the ideal container must be transparent to microwaves, allowing the

microwaves to pass through for improved heating.
Avoid using recycled paper containers: These may contain minute metal fragments

which may cause sparks and/or fire.
It is preferable to use round or oval plates rather than square or rectangular plates:

Food placed on the corner of a container risks being overcooked.
