Fitting the lenses
To fit (rectangular) binocular lens parts pull the lens element carefully out of the
holder and replace it by another one.
Because of their great magnification, lens parts 4x and 7x are used as monocular
elements only, i. e. for a single eye.
For these lens parts the lens holder must be removed from the mounting, as indi-
cated in illustration 2, and the lens part exchanged.

Instructions on Care and Maintenance
All ESCHENBACH lenses are made of PXM ® , an optically pure plastic material with a
number of user-friendly properties:
• durable
• lighter than glass
• optically pure for the highest imaging quality
®
The PXM lenses are coated in a special process are scratch-resistant, slightly demir-
rored and have a permanently antistatic coating. Apparent hairline cracks that may
be detectable at the edge of the lens do not detract from the optical image. These are
small line structures of the material that are production-related.
