SPRAY GUN - HD VERSION
DESCRIPTION
With reference to fig.1, the essential parts are:
1 -
spray gun air inlet;
atomizing air pressure regulator gauge;
2 -
atomization air regulation hand wheel;
3 -
pressure micro-regulator inside the cup;
4 -
5 -
internal cup pressure regulation hand wheel. The regulator is calibrated. When
fully open, internal cup pressure is 1.0 bar (15 psi);
cup safety valve; it trips when internal cup pressure reaches 1.2 bar (17 psi);
6 -
HD cup;
7 -
HD cup lid;
8 -
HD cup air hose.

OPERATIONS
WARNING! The HD spray gun version operates with a pressurised cup.
Before connecting the spray gun to the compressed air supply:
A-
close the flow valve towards the arrow " - " (5);
B-
fill the cup (7) with the product to be sprayed;
tightly screw the lid (8) onto the cup (7);
C-
D-
make sure the hose (9) is correcting inserted in the regulator (4) and lid (8) fittings;
After connect compressed air to the air inlet (1), proceed as follows:
Slowly open the hand wheel (5) to pressurise the cup;
-
The higher the product viscosity, the higher the pressure must be in the cup;
-
adjust atomization air pressure to 2.5-3.0 bar (36-43 psi).
CUP DEPRESSURISATION SAFETY PROCEDURE
The procedure below must always be followed before dismantling and cleaning the
spray gun and before topping up product:
1 -
make sure the spray gun is disconnected from the compressed air supply system;
close the faucet (5);
2 -
3 -
aim the spray gun nozzle into an electrically grounded metallic container;
4 -
pull the lever to release over-pressurised product until the paint flow stops.
At this point, the lid can be safely unscrewed (8).
