Side effects that affect the entire body have not been reported to date. Correct
tting is assumed. Do not put the OmoLoc on too tightly as this could lead to
local pressure symptoms. In rare cases, constriction of blood vessels and nerves
may occur. If this happens, check the t of your support, loosen the strap and
have the size of your OmoLoc checked if necessary.
Contraindications
No clinically signi cant hypersensitive reactions have been reported to date.
If you have any of the following conditions, such aids should only be tted and
applied after consultation with your physician:
• Skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, particularly if
in ammation is present; likewise, any raised scars with swelling, redness and
excessive heat build-up
• Impaired sensation and circulatory disorders of the legs (e.g. diabetes
mellitus)
• Severe restriction of the performance of the heart and lungs (risk of a rise in
blood pressure if the aid is worn during intense physical exertion)
• Impaired lymph drainage – including soft tissue swellings of uncertain origin
located remotely from the tted aid

The following instructions describe how to put on an OmoLoc orthosis to treat the
right shoulder.
Putting it on

Place the ngers of your right hand in the nger pocket of the right-hand
fastening. Bend your right arm at a right-angle in front of your body. While doing
this, hold the orthosis rmly under your arm with your elbow.

Now guide the orthosis around your back from behind. Ask someone to help
you with this if necessary. Place the ngers of your left hand in the nger pocket
of the left-hand fastening.

Now attach the right-hand fastening to the left
with moderate tension.

Now tighten both narrow side straps. The orthosis should now t tightly but
not uncomfortably on the body at waist height.

Changing the strap positions (with the help of another person)
If necessary, the strap positions can be adjusted to suit the length of the forearm.

Remove a strap from the inside of the orthosis. Change its position and attach
the strap to the inside again. The upper edge of the Velcro should line up with the
upper edge of the abdominal strap.

Using the OmoLoc with the shoulder strap
For an additional stabilizing effect, the optional shoulder strap can be used if
necessary.
Attach the shoulder strap rmly to the outside of the OmoLoc on

the back. Put the orthosis on following the instructions described above.

Taking off the orthosis
Undo the upper arm and forearm straps and the hand sling. Take your arm out of
the straps. Undo the fastening with the nger pockets. Do up all the Velcro
fastenings to avoid damaging your clothes or the OmoLoc.
Cleaning instructions
Note: Never expose the OmoLoc to direct heat (e.g. heater, sunlight, in your car,
etc.)! This may cause damage to the material, which can impair the effectiveness
of the OmoLoc.

Fasten all Velcro fastenings to avoid damage.
Wash the OmoLoc by hand with a mild detergent.
Leave the OmoLoc to air dry.

If handled and cared for correctly, the product is practically maintenance-free.
Assembly and tting instructions
The OmoLoc is supplied ready for use.
Technical speci cations/parameters, accessories
The OmoLoc is an orthosis for the shoulder joint. It consists of an abdominal strap,
an upper arm strap, forearm strap, and hand strap, as well as an optional shoulder
strap.
Notes on reuse
The OmoLoc is intended for your treatment only and has been speci cally selected
according to your measurements. For this reason, do not pass the OmoLoc on to
other people.
Warranty
Warranty is provided in accordance with the statutory provisions as well as the
terms of supply and contractual terms of Bauerfeind AG (AGB), as long as all the
points mentioned in these instructions for use are observed.
If you have any complaints, please contact your medical retailer only.
Please note that only clean goods can be dealt with.
Disposal
You can dispose of the product in accordance with national legal requirements.
