Unfold the front cover of this booklet to view images that
are numbered to the steps below. Read all instructions
carefully before using the Quick-serter. For information about
pump therapy, potential errors, and possible risks and their
causes, consult your pump user guide before connecting the
infusion set. Refer to your infusion set user guide before using
the Quick-serter. If you are using the Quick-serter for the first
time, you should perform your first set-up in the presence of your
healthcare professional.
Preparation
1.
Wash your hands with soap and water.
2. Clean the insertion site. Use an alcohol wipe or other
disinfectant as directed by your healthcare professional. The
area must be dry before you insert the infusion set.
Using the Quick-serter
3.
Place the Quick-serter onto a sturdy flat surface with the
handle facing downward. Place the infusion set into the
Quick-serter. If needed, place infusion set tubing in the
tubing slot.
4. Seat the infusion set securely within the Quick-serter. To do
this, place your fingers on the adhesive liner and push the
infusion set down.
5. Remove both pieces of the adhesive liner.
