I. Attach antennas (See image I)
Connect the rod antenna provided in the box or your rooftop antenna to the TV antenna input on
your PCTV Hybrid ExpressCard using the adapter provided.
Note: If you use the rod antenna included in the box, position it as high and as close to the window
as possible.
Reception depends on your location and can be impaired by steel-reinforced walls as well as tall
neighbouring buildings. In this type of environment, an external/roof antenna is required.
Mobile DVB-T reception, e.g., in a car or train, is generally not possible.
To avoid possible damages from the magnetic field surrounding the antenna feet, maintain a
sufficient distance from any components that are sensitive to magnetic forces.
II. Computer connection (See image III)
Insert the PCTV Hybrid ExpressCard into an available ExpressCard slot of your PC.
If your laptop is equipped with a 54mm ExpressCard slot, first attach the included mechanical
adapter to your PCTV Hybrid ExpressCard (See image II. A), and then insert it into the slot.
To detach the mechanical adapter, first move it slightly to the right, and then pull it off in the direction
indicated by the arrow on the adapter. (See image II. B).
Note: Please do not use force when removing the mechanical adapter because this might damage
the card.
III. Attaching peripheral devices (See image IV) (optional)
Connect peripheral devices by connecting the A/V adapter cable included in the box to the
corresponding input on your PCTV Hybrid ExpressCard.
IV. Software installation
If the "Add new hardware" dialog window appears during installation, cancel out of this screen.
Place the installation disc into the appropriate disc drive of your PC. Installation will begin
automatically. Then follow the instructions provided by the setup program.
V. Using the remote control
If you wish to operate your PCTV Hybrid ExpressCard by using the remote control, make sure the
remote control is aimed as directly as possible at the reception area of the
PCTV Hybrid ExpressCard casing.
