The ATS1110A and ATS1115A provide for a menu through
which a number of options can be set.
To enter the programming menu for the ATS111xA
keypads:
1.
Enter menu 28 of the control panel installer menu.
2.
Press 2, Enter followed by the RAS address selected and
Enter to enter the RAS menu. The display now shows
"UTC F&S, RAS111x" (x is 0 or 5 depending on the type of
keypad) followed by the version number.
3.
Press Enter to proceed to the menu or press the menu
number followed by Enter to go to a menu item directly.
Menu 1, Access LED options

access LED may be disabled if not required.
Menu 2, Night light options
A dimly lit keypad backlight provides the night-light to easily
locate the keypad in dark locations (enabled by default).
Menu 3, Keypad backlight options
The keypad backlight turns on bright for night time illumination
of the key labels (enabled by default). If the keypad backlight is
not required, it may be disabled.
Menu 4, RTE (egress) control
The RAS is fitted with a request to exit (RTE) control port
(labelled IN) on the wiring connector. The OUT (open collector
terminal) may be used to control a door relay.
There are three options to choose from:
RTE Only: This option requires a simple push button to be
connected to the IN terminal. A press of the button will

condition.
Menu 7, Security Mode (ATS1115A only)
This option selects the type of user card the ATS1115A reader
will recognise. The reader will recognise configuration and
default cards in both modes. The possible modes are as
follows:
Unsecured Mode (default setting): The reader will
recognise blank or un-programmed cards only, by using
the card's unique serial number. The four-byte security
password is not used. Unsecured mode requires the use
of an expanded memory system.
Secured Mode: Only cards programmed on the
ATS1620/1621/1622 programmer will be recognised in
this mode. The four-byte security password is used.
Menu 8, Valid Card Flash (ATS1115A only)
This option enables (default setting) and disables the blue LED
flash when a valid card is badged on an ATS1115A reader.
Menu 9, Protocol options (ATS1115A only)
This option selects the method by which an ATS1115A reader
sends data to the panel. The options are as follows:
Wiegand: Smart Card data is transmitted in the Wiegand
protocol by default. The ATS1620/1621/1622 programmer
sets the number of bits (26- or 27-bit) when user cards are
programmed.
Magnetic Stripe: The reader sends data to the panel in a
32-bit magnetic stripe card format.
Tecom Smart Card: This format is not implemented in the
panel and should not be selected.
Menu 10, Card Beep Options (ATS1115A only)
This option enables the beep sounded when a card is badged
on the reader (default setting) and disables the beep.
Menu 11, Option Card (ATS1115A only)
This option enables (default setting) and disables the use of
reader configuration (option) cards at the ATS1115A reader. If
an installer wishes to prevent the modification of the reader
setup by configuration card, this option should be disabled.
Menu 12, Last Card (ATS1115A only)
This option displays the number of the last card badged on an
ATS1115A reader, in the format: Facility Code/System Code,
ID Number or as raw card data (depends on setting of security
mode).
