CONNECTING THE BATTERY CHARGER TO THE PRG852
The procedure to be followed to connect the batteries to the battery charger is as follows:
• Remove the fuse "F2" from the programmer circuit board.
• Connect the batteries to the battery charger (The battery charger must not be powered up!) and close the
jumper "J1" then connect the battery as follows:
- Battery negative connects to binding post "9" - Battery positive connects to binding post "10"
If LED "L1" lights up, the connection is correct; if LED "L1" does not light up, invert the connection to the
batteries; open jumper "J1".

Connect the wires to the battery charger terminal board as follows (see fig. 7 det. M):
1,2 Binding posts for the 20 Vac (red/red) "secondary 3" wires coming from the transformer.
3,4 Binding posts for the (0 - 24V: grey/grey) "secondary 1" wires.

Output to be connected to the faston marked "V5-M2"

Output to be connected to the faston marked "V4-M2"

Output to be connected to the faston marked "V1-M2"

Output to be connected to the faston marked "V0-M2"
•
Close the battery charger container and slide it into the battery holder and circuit board unit as shown
in figure 7. det. "L".
•
Insert the terminal block into its seat carefully following the direction indicated in detail "M"
•
Replace the fuse "F2".
