When a Dentaurum product is finally no longer in use, the disposal regulations of that particular country apply. Dentaurum or
the dental trade is available to answer questions regarding the correct disposal of any specific product.
Note:
This symbol indicates products marked with it should not be disposed off together with household garbage.
The legislator disallows commercial customers to return electronic waste via municipial collection points. Further
information is available through Dentaurum or the dental trade.
4. Packaging
The packaging provides only limited protection against wet, heat and any mechanical force. The packaging should be disposed
of in the proper manner.

6. Areas of use and description

6.1 Function
The sandblasting machine Dentablast Duo is a fine sandblasting machine (a whirlpool style pressure blaster) for universal
application. It is suitable for all conventional abrasive material up to a grain size of 250 µm. Both sandblasting machines can be
filled with a variety of different abrasives; the pressure can be adjusted separately. All types of regular cast objects in the dental
laboratory can be cleaned and superficially conditioned.
Other qualities include:
easy handling
doesn't take up much space
high safety due to robust construction
friendly service

7. Installation

7.1 Positioning the machine

The machine can be placed onto a normal laboratory workbench.

7.2 The power supply

The voltage information on the machine type sign must correspond with the mains voltage.
This machine operates on a 230 V power supply. (the 110 V machine must be connected to a 110...120 V power supply)
The socket must be secured with a fuse.
Caution: All electrical servicing either on the socket or the supply line must be carried out by an electrician.

7.3 The compressed air supply

This machine can be connected to a compressor or a compressed air unit. The amount of pressure must not exceed max. 10 bar.
The consumption is 136 – 160 l / min. We recommend the use of a maintenance unit with water separator.

7.4 Connection to an extraction unit

The machine is supplied with an extension socket for a 230 V extraction unit, which runs automatically when the machine is in
use. The extraction is essential for work involving a large amount of dust accumulation, e.g. devesting and cleaning.
The machine's max. performance of 1000 W must not be exceeded. An extractor is not suitable as the filter capacity is too low.
The connection outlet on the sandblaster has a diameter of ø 40 mm. From here the sandblasting machine can be connected
to an external extraction unit.
Note: If an extraction unit is connected, the particle filter inside the sandblasting machine must be removed.
8. Operating the sandblasting machine Dentablast Duo

8.1 General Information

Caution: The machine must only be used when the sandblaster itself and the blasting abrasive have reached
room temperature. Otherwise there is a danger of condensa tion and subsequently lumpy sand.

8.2 Setting the blasting pressure

The sandblasting machine is equipped with two pressure adjustment dials (black dials). The pressure can be set by pulling and
turning the dial. The set pressure is shown on the pressure display. These show the actual abrasive container input pressure.
8.3 Refilling the blasting abrasive
To fill with sandblasting material, rotate the fastening cap of the abrasive container counterclockwise and lift it upwards. Fill
with sandblasting material at a maximum of 40 mm below the container edge (see illustration). Replace the fastening cap on
the container and close by rotating clockwise.
8.4 Blasting
Hold the object to be blasted in the chamber under the blasting head and use the foot control to begin blasting. By letting the
foot control go, the compressed air is halted and the blasting stops. A bit of compressed air still flows in.
The following blasting nozzles may be used:
Metal blasting nozzle ø 1.0 mm ....... (yellow) ..........for a grain size of approx. 30 – 110 µm
Metal blasting nozzle ø 1.2 mm ....... (blue) .............for a grain size of approx. 75 – 250 µm
Available as an accessory:
Metal blasting nozzle ø 0.6 mm ....... (black) ............for a grain size smaller than 50 µm (corundum)
Filling level of the sandblasting material
(in mm measured from the upper edge)
minimum:
90 mm
maximum:
40 mm
