PREPARING YOUR BUFFET SERVER FOR USE
NOTE: For best results, use Warming tray at maximum heat setting
to quickly reach desired temperature, then adjust thermostat.
Serving temperature is from 60 ºC (min.) – 85 ºC (max.)
1 Plug unit in. The red power On light will come on. Set temperature
dial to desired temperature setting.
2 This unit may be used fully assembled with chafing pans or without
chafing pans as a stand alone warming tray.
3 To use with chafing pans, place chafing pan holder on warming tray
first and then arrange pans in holder.
4 To retain heat and moisture in foods, keep lids on when not serving.
NOTE: Food placed in warming base or chafing pans should be
FULLY cooked and already hot. The Oster® Buffet Server is designed
to keep food warm only. This product is not a cooking appliance and
is not intended to heat cold food.
5 Pans are oven-safe. Always use oven mitts to handle hot pans.
NOTE: Do not use the lids when heating pans in the oven. LIDS ARE
NOT OVEN SAFE. Wait 5 minutes before using lids once pans are
removed from the oven.
6 Chafing Pans are not to be used in the microwave or on a stove top.
7 Foods containing little or no liquid should be kept on a lower
setting and stirred periodically.
8 If using the unit as a warming tray only use containers that are
heat-proof.
NOTE: Warming tray is not designed to keep large, deep pots full of
food or liquid warm.
9 For best results, use non-metallic serving utensils.
