1. Insert Compula
collar on the Compula
2. Remove the colored cap from the Compula
the proper angle of entrance into the cavity.
3. Dispense the material into the cavity preparation using a slow, steady pressure.
DO NOT USE EXCESSIVE FORCE.
4. To remove the used Compula
completely by allowing the handle to open to its widest position. Apply a downward motion to the
front end of the Compula
3.1.5.1 Applying restorative
1. Dispense Neo Spectra™ ST flow composite restorative directly into cavity preparation/tooth sur-
face from the Compula
dispensing to minimize air entrapment. Any visible air bubbles should be pierced with a clean,
sharp explorer prior to curing. Material may be placed and light cured in increments up to 2 mm.
In deeper preparations it is recommended to double the curing time to compensate for lower
irradiance (see Curing, Step 3.1.6). For maximum light transmission and to minimize finishing,
avoid overfilling cavity.
3.1.6 Light curing
1. Light cure each area of the restoration surface with a suitable visible light curing unit designed to
cure materials containing camphorquinone (CQ) initiator, i.e. peak spectral output 440-480 nm.
Cure universal CLOUD shades, BW, and E1 increments for 10 seconds, and D1 and D3 shades
for 30 seconds when using a curing light that has a minimum irradiance of 800 mW/cm
Cure universal CLOUD shades, and BW for 20 seconds, E1 for 10 seconds, and D1 and D3
shades for 40 seconds when minimum irradiance is between 550 mW/cm² and 800 mW/cm².
Refer to curing light manufacturer's Directions for Use for compatibility and curing recommenda-
tions.

Insufficient curing.
Inadequate polymerization.
1. Check compatibility of curing light.
2. Check curing cycle.
3. Check minimum irradiance.
4. Cure each area of each increment for the recommended curing time.
5. Check distance to surface to be cured.
