3) OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
a) Switching on
Once you have installed the appliance, fill it with sanitary and with heating water as follows:

Fill the coil with heating water and vent the plant.

Fill the appliance with sanitary water through the cold water inlet connection and vent the
plant by opening a hot water drawing point

Install the thermostatic device on the proper place (see figure 1)

Start the central heating boiler
b) Filling of the coil
The exchanger coil is connected to the central heating circuit; therefore to grant fluid circulation
inside the coil it is necessary to check that the heating plant pressure is enough.
N.B: Check the central heating boiler instruction manual in order to check its working process.
c) Filling of the unit
In order to fill the appliance, it is necessary to provide the plant with a charge cock of the
sanitary water mains supply.
Open this tap and vent the circuit by opening a drawing cock.
d) Emptying the appliance
In order to empty the unit, close the charge clock, connect a flexible pipe to the drain connection
and put the other end of it on a drain.
Open a drawing off point and let water flow, then open the drain connection and complete the
emptying procedure.

4) MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Empty the unit before any maintenance operation.
a) General indications

To clean the outer case use a wet cloth with water or soap solutions.

Do not use powder detergents or abrasive solvents or gasoline.

Check the anode conditions at least once a year (see next paragraph)

In case the appliance is put in a place subject to freezing, it must either be kept in function or
completely emptied;
b) Inspection and inner cleaning of the tank
In order to clean the inside part of the tank, empty the appliance, remove the cover by unscrewing the
plastic cover screws.
Proceed to remove the counter-flange and the inspection hatch.
Make sure you do not damage the glass lining treatment of the tank and of the coil during the cleaning
operations.
