CAUSES
No voltage
Protection fuses
Faulty ballast
Faulty fluorescent lamp
The gas flux in the tube is
not uniform during the first
few hours of operation
Line voltage too low
Defective fluorescent lamp
Faulty starting switch
Exhausted fluorescent
lamp
TURN OFF THE VOLTAGE ALLOW A SPECIALISED
TECHNICIAN TO PERFORM THE CHECK
HIGH INTERNAL VOLTAGE
SOLUTIONS
Wait and/or restore
voltage
Check any short circuits
or faults, then replace
with fuses having the
same value
Replace the ballast
Replace the lamp
Leave the instrument on
for 7-8 hours
Check the voltage in the
Surgery
Replace it with one having
the same characteristics
Replace the starting
switch
Replace the fluorescent
lamp with another having
the same characteristics
