ELECTRIC POWER: If electric circuit is overloaded with other appliances,

electric circuit from other operating appliances.
THIS PRODUCT IS FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
Thank you for purchasing a Toastmaster Griddle. You'll find this new
cool-edge griddle to be extremely versatile. Because it's so easy to clean
you'll no doubt use it often.
Models 866, 868 and 869 include a warming drawer that allows food to
be kept warm under the griddle for short periods of time while other food
is being prepared on top. Additionally, models 868 and 869 include a
spatula rest and splatter guard.
USING YOUR GRIDDLE
1. Before first use, see CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS and HINTS FOR CARE
AND USE OF NON-STICK SURFACE.
2. Insert warming drawer (models 866, 868 and 869 only) and grease cup
into rails under griddle. Place spatula rest (models 868 and 869 only)
into position by inserting the notches on the bottom side of the rest
securely into the left griddle handle. Place the splatter guard (models
868 and 869 only) onto the griddle by placing the tabs on the bottom
of the splatter guard behind the griddle backstop. Slide down so that the
cutouts on the splatter guard are resting on the griddle backstop.
3. Turn probe to OFF position and attach securely in place.
4. Condition the non-stick surface with vegetable shortening before
heating. If necessary, remove excess oil with paper towel. Plug into
120V ~ 60 Hz outlet. Align temperature control knob with pointer. The
unit is preheated when the light on the probe goes off. The light will cycle
during use indicating the proper temperature is being maintained.
5. When finished cooking, turn probe OFF, unplug and cool before
cleaning.
CAUTION: Because some countertop finishes are more affected by heat
than others, use care not to place griddle on surfaces where heat may cause
a problem.
CAUTION: Griddle surfaces are hot during use.
