Use
the tool is engineered for stripping of ethyl-
propylenic rubber (G7), or crosswired poly-
propylen (XLPE) insulation from 20KV cables
with following cross sections 25, 35, 50, 95,
120, 150, 185 and 240 mm

Preparation
select the stripping insert (pos.A) suitable for
the cross section of cable in use (pos.1).The
stripping insert has to be fitted into the
coupling head of the T-handle (pos.A).bayo-
nets caps are built in to facilitate this opera-
tion,ie a simple clockwise rotation until insert
blocks. To extract or change the stripping
insert the operation is the same but inverse
sequence. Before starting the wished stripping
lenght can be set by 0,2 mm trips by means of
the knob (pos.2) housed into the handle.The
choosen stripping lenght is visible onto a scale
(pos.3) on the tool's body.
Stripping
fit the tool (T-handle + stripping insert) onto
the end of the cable (pos.C). By simply rotating
clockwise the handle and slightly pressing
onto the cable the following will be obtained:
elicoidal cut of insulation, exit of G7 insulation
+ inner semiconductive layer from the side
opening of the stripping insert.
Attention: cable has to be stripped firmly
and perpendicular to axis.
When pre-adjusted stripping lenght is rea-
ched, the insulation-shavings getting out from
the side opening of stripping insert, break.
When tool turn void, it can be taken out from
the cable.
Attention: during stripping operation,do
not turn the tool anticlockwise
in respect of cable: blade can be
damaged.
Replacement of the Blade
unscrew completely the screw (pos.4) onto the
stripping insert.Extract the bush (pos.5) in axial
direction. Expulse the blade holder (pos 6) +
blade (pos.7) by means of a screwdriver
through the hole at the bottom of the strip-
ping insert.
Attention: to fit the blade (pos.7): fit the
blade-holder (pos.6) taking care
to orientate the blade exactly as
shown in the picture,till its bloc-
king inside.
To fit the bush again, follow the above in
inverse sequence .

Aplicación:
Para retirar el aislamiento EPR (Etilenopropi-
leno) de los cables de M.T. de 12/20 (24) kV de
secciones: 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185 y 240.
También puede ser utilizado para retirar el aisi-
amiento de XLPE (Polietileno reticulado) en el
caso de las secciones anteriores.
Preparación:
Seleccionar el cabezal (A) adecuado a la sección
del conductor del cable (1) al que se quiere reti-
rar el aislamiento. Realizar la inserción del
cabezal en la maneta (B) mediante un mecan-
ismo tipo bayoneta, girar la maneta en sentido
horario hasta el bloqueo (resorte). Para quitar
o cambiar el cabezal realizar la secuencia inver-
sa. Anter de comenzar debemos seleccionar en
la maneta la longitud del aislamiento a pelar,
mediante el tornillo de regulación (2) situado
en el mango de la maneta, pudiendo ajustarse
en intervalos de 0,2mm. La longitud selec-
cionada es bien visible en la escala (3) situada
en la maneta.
Pelado:
Introducir la herramienta (maneta + cabezal
adecuado) en el extremo del cable (C). Medi-
ante una simple rotación en sentido horario y
una ligera presión sobre el cable se obtendrá
un corte helicoidal y la expulsión del aisla-
miento (o aislamiento más semiconductora
exterior si no ha sido retirada anteriormente)
por la abertura lateral del cabezal.
Atención: El cable debe de ser pelado de

aisiamiento que sale del cabezal puede llegar a
romperse. Cuando la herramienta gira sin
avanzar y sin resistencia ya se puede extraer del
cable.
Atención: Durante la operaciónde pelado
Sustitución de la cuchilla:
Retirar totalmente el tornillo (4) visible en el
lateral del cabezal. Extraer la cubierta exterior
(roja) del cabezal, en sentido axial. Retirar el
portacuchillas (6) + cuchilla (7) empujando con
un destornillador a través del orificio situado
transversalmente al cabezal.
Atención: Para el montaje de la cuchilla (7)
Para montar de nuevo el cabezal seguir la
secuencia inversa.
