5.7 Installing the holding plate in the SBR basin
5.7.1 Inserting the holding plate
The disc diffuser assembly as per section 5.3, including the concrete weight, is inserted into the tank. The
complete holding plate assembly is pushed onto the ventilation downpipe and fitted onto the crossbar.
The holding plate is fitted on the inflow side.
The stainless steel hose connector with ½" thread is then screwed on to the ventilation downpipe - make
sure to use a Teflon seal.



5.7.2 Connecting the excess sludge lifter
The tank dome is then placed on the tank and the
excess sludge lifter is pushed into the side seal of
the tank dome (as shown in the image on the
right).
