4 In order to link the TCIP 603-... to
an Ethernet network, connect the
RJ-45 network cable and connect it
on the other side to the network.
5 The simplest connection between
TCIP 603-... and the configuration
and operating PC is using a cross-
over cable).
6 Integration of the TCIP 603-...
in an existing network. This is only
possible if the configuration and
operating PC are located in the same
subnet and use the same address
area, e.g. 192.168.0.xxx

Installation
7 Install the TCIP 603-... in accord-
ance with the wiring diagram. If
several input modules are connected
to the TCIP 603--..., the address
(Addr. 1–8) number must be set at
the input modules.
8 Installation of the TCIP 603-...
with the extension FSM 740-... and
SCE 640-...
The TCIP 603-... is connected to a
TCP/IP network via a CAT5 cable at
the LAN socket. In its as-delivered
status, the TCIP 603-... has the IP
address 192.168.0.1 (subnet mask
255.255.255.0). The controller
is configured via a web browser,
meaning that no special software
needs to be installed. Configuration
is possible via any PC connected to
the network PC.
Dialling the TCIP 603-...
• Establish the connection via the
network to the TCIP 603-...
• Start the Internet Explorer or com
patible browser
• Enter http://192.168.0.1 in the
address line
• The configuration registration
window appears in the browser
• Enter the user name Service and
password Siedle, (case sensitive),

Commissioning
The input mask divides into 4 areas:
• Hardware/system

• Configuration

• Reports
• Tools
Hardware/system
• Inputs
Configuration of potential inputs
E1–E5 of the TCIP 603-... e.g. for
call buttons or door sensor.
• Outputs
Configuration of potential-free out
puts A1–A4
• Readers
Search for all modules for access
control connected to the Vario bus.
Once the modules have been read
in, every module can be assigned an
unambiguous name.
• Network
Change of the fixed IP address,
subnet mask and standard gateway.
It is possible to modify the configu
ration timeout.
• System time/time change
Setting the date and time
Configuration
• Doors
In this menu, the individual doors
are generated.
• Time profiles
Generation of time profiles
• Public holidays/Vacation
Input of public holidays or days on
which the access control system only
admits certain groups of users.
• Access groups
Up to 40 access groups can be
generated. e.g. IT access group or
cleaning personnel.
• Users
Input of individual users with names
for unambiguous identification. One
user can be assigned to several dif
ferent access groups.
Reports
• Event log
Display of the last used inputs and
outputs with indication of the user
name and relevant door. Historic
entries can be found using a filter.
• Presence list
Display of currently present persons
who have passed by a connected
module of the access control system.
This function is only possible if
output readers are configured at the
TCIP 603-...
