INSTALLATION
WARNING: The installation and assembly of electrical equipment must be carried out
by an authorized installer.
- Open the top cover and insert the conductors thought the drillhole provided for this
purpose.
- Connect the conductors to the terminal strip following the scheme shown in figure 1.
Terminals 1 and 2 are for power supply and are marked L (live) and N (neutral).
Terminals 3 and 4 correspond to the timing circuit and terminals 5 and 6 to the early
warning circuit.
- Connect the earth wire to the terminal indicated for this purpose.
The appliance is internally protected from interference by means of a safety circuit.
Nevertheless, some especially strong electromagnetic fields may affect its operation.
Interferences may be avoided if the following installation instructions are followed:
- The equipment should not be installed close to inductive loads.
- It is advisable to provide a separate line for the power supply (if necessary provided
with a network filter).
- Inductive loads must be provided with interference suppressors (varistor, RC filter).
PROGRAMMING
IMPORTANT: PROGRAMMING MUST BE CARRIED OUT WITH THE APPLIANCE
DISCONNECTED FROM THE MAINS VOLTAGE.
All the programming is carried out by means of the device situated at the upper part of
the electronic circuit shown in figure 2.
The "CTM ELECTRÓNICO" is provided with 4 mini-switches known as SW1, SW2,
SW3 and SW4, two of which are rotary (SW1 and SW4) and the other two sliding.
Each one is responsible for the functions explained below.
MINIMUM NUMBER OF COINS: Switch SW1 is used to indicate the number of coins
with which the operation of the timing circuit starts.

For instance, it is wished that the user of the installation has to insert 4 coins in order
for it to start operating. Turn SW1 until it indicates the number 4.

TIMING TIMES: The timing time corresponding to each coin is established by the 5
first switches of SW2 or SW3. The 4 switches situated more to the left configure a
timing value and the fifth makes this value signify hours or minutes (ON = hours, OFF
= minutes). The value will be given by the combinations shown in the following table:

RESET: The RESET button initializes the programme of the "CTM ELECTRÓNICO"
and stores the present configuration. AFTER PROGRAMMING THE APPLIANCE THE
RESET BUTTON MUST BE PRESSED.
PAUSE: The pause function is used to temporarily stop timing without loss of memory.
The appliance enters this status when the pause terminals are disconnected and
remains in this status until their contacts become short-circuited again. This opening of
the circuit can be achieved either by means of a switch or by means of a potential-free
relay, see figure 3. IN ORDER TO AVOID MEMORY LOSS IN THE APPLIANCE IT
MUST BE RECEIVING POWER SUPPLY.
SPECIAL TIMING: Switch SW4 indicates the number of coins by which the timing
passes from normal timing (configured in SW2) to special timing (configured in SW3).
To achieve maximum special timing it is necessary to insert all the coins one after
another. Setting SW4 to 0 deactivates special timing.
EARLY WARNING: Switch 6 of SW3 is used to select the duration of the early warning
activated prior to the end of timing.
ON - Long early warning. 4 minutes before the end of the timing the early warning
circuit will be connected for 30 seconds.
OFF - Short early warning. 30 seconds before the end of the timing the early
warning circuit will be connected for 10 seconds.

ADJUSTMENT OF TYPE OF COIN:
The type of coins to be used can be modified by the user following these steps:
- Change the coin insert slot (External plate)
- Loosen the screws in order to be able to move parts A and B (see fig. 4).
- Move parts A and B until the desired coin diameter is obtained
- Fasten to screws to fix the desired position.
