Rescue Pole usage guide

Keeping hold of the rope, pull
sharply on the pole to engage
the karabiner onto the secondary
release on the PRD. At this stage
the karabiner is now attached to
the secondary release and the
pole can be safely discarded.

Before initiating descent,
check the ground below the
casualty to ensure descent
path is clear and a safe
landing is possible.
Pull sharply on the rope to
activate the descent. NEVER
wrap rope around your hand.
Excessive force is NOT required.
