Installation Instructions
Setting Up Your Everbright Bulb
Make sure the power to the socket is off.
Choose how bright you want your Everbright bulb to shine during a
power outage by sliding the top switch labeled "Emergency Light
Brightness" to 250 lumens or 100 lumens. (This will not affect the
brightness of the bulb when connected to AC power — bulb operates
normally at 650 lumens on 10W.)

Twist in the Everbright bulb. Switch the bulb on and off as normal.
*Note: power to the bulb must be turned on under normal operating conditions
for at least7 hours every 6 monthsto ensure the backup battery is fully charged
for Emergency Mode use.
Testing Your Everbright Bulb
1. Ensure bulb has been charged for at least 7 hours.
2. Twist Everbright out of the socket.
3. Slide bottom switch labeled "Flashlight/Test" to On position; bulb will
illuminate at your chosen brightness.
4. Slide "Flashlight/Test" switch to off position. Twist into socket.
*Note: bulb illuminates when "Flashlight/Test" switch is in On position. The
Everbright BR30 bulb can be used as a flashlight in this mode; light duration is
the same as Emergency Mode.
During a Power Outage (Emergency Mode)
The bulb can be turned on and off as normal.
In Emergency Mode:
• When set to 250 lumens of backup battery light, the Everbright bulb provides
approx. 4 hours of continuous light
• When set to 100 lumens of backup battery light, the Everbright bulb provides
approx. 12 hours of continuous light
