O fusível é utilizado para
interromper
a
corrente
entrada com o objetivo de
diminuir danos, caso ocorra
falha no sistema (curto-circuito).
O equipamento AVR-A-OPT 06
é dotado de um retificador que
controla a tensão de campo do
gerador. Para a maior tensão de
campo e campo puramente
indutivo, a corrente fornecida
pela entrada "3" é metade da
corrente de campo, sendo que
a corrente máxima do fusível
deve ser pouco mais que a
metade da corrente fornecida
pelo regulador na excitatriz.
