• If you come into contact with battery acid then
wash the affected area with soap and water.
If battery acid gets in your eye rinse it out with
water and seek medical help immediately!
• Do not short-circuit the terminals.
Inserting the batteries
CAUTION! Observe the following
instructions to avoid mechanical and
electrical damage.
Before using the item for the first time, insert the
batteries which have been included.
Insertion of batteries in the taran-
tula
1. With the assistance of a suitable screw-driver,
remove the screw in the battery case (1a), on
the back-side of the Tarantula (1), and remove
the casing (Ill. B).
2. Place the batteries carefully into the battery
holder (Ill. C). Take care that the band in the
battery holder is placed under the batteries.
The batteries must be inserted fully inside the
battery holder.
Note: Check the plus/minus poles of the batte-
ries and insert them correctly.
3. Screw the casing onto the back-side again.
Insertion of batteries in the remote
control
1. With the assistance of a suitable screw-driver,
remove the screw in the battery case (2a), on
the under-side of the remote control (2), and
remove the casing (Ill. D).
2. Place the battery (4) carefully into the battery
holder (Ill. E). The battery must be completely
fitted into the battery holder.
Note: Take note of the plus/minus poles of the
battery and insert the battery correctly.
3. Screw the casing onto the back-side again.

Replacing the batteries
CAUTION! Observe the following

Should the batteries stop working, exchange
them as described under insertion. Remove the
batteries in the item, before inserting new ones.
Note: Pull on the end of the band in the battery
compartment, to remove the batteries more
easily.
Operation
To control the tarantula with the remote control,
the tarantula and the remote control must be
turned on.
1. Flip the control pin on the tarantula to ON (Ill. F).
2. Flip the control pin on the remote control to ON
(Ill. G).
To turn off the tarantula and the remote control,
flip the switches to OFF.
Controlling the tarantula
The tarantula can be steered into different
directions, with the remote control. To do this,
point the antenna on the remote control in
the direction of the tarantula and press the
controls as follows:
• Arrow forward: Tarantula moves forward (Ill. H).
• Arrow down: Tarantula moves backward (Ill. I).
• Arrow left: Tarantula turns to the left (Ill. J).
• Arrow right: Tarantula turns to the right (Ill. K).
• DEMO button: The tarantula goes into
demonstration mode, with varying movement
sequences (Ill. L).
Care and storage
Always store the article in a clean, dry place at
room temperature. Only wipe clean with a dry
cleaning cloth.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with
aggressive cleaning agents.
Disposal
Dispose of the article and the packaging materi-
als in accordance with current local regulations.
Packaging materials such as foil bags are not
suitable to be given to children. Keep the packa-
ging materials out of the reach of children.
