How should the membrane be cleaned?
1.
Rinse the membranes as described in chapter 3.2p26.
2.
Fill the auxiliary tank with 10 liters of fresh water produced by the unit or dechlorinated mains water.
3.
Prepare the Alkaline solution A (See 752037-EXP10) by mixing in the auxiliary tank.
Alkaline and Acid cleaning solutions are aggressive and can cause burning. PROTECT YOUR EYES AND HANDS
DURING THIS OPERATION (gloves, goggles,.....)
4.
Put the cleaning pipes (N) in the auxiliary tank and open the cleaning valve (13) to cleaning position.
5.
Completely shut the pressure regulating valve by turning it clockwise.
6.
Place the inlet valve (2) to rinsing position.
7.
Start up the unit by pressing on the green ON (30) button, to establish a correct closed circuit cleaning flow.
During the membranes cleaning operation, pressure should be reduced to minimum. Check, using the gauge, that it
doesn't exceed 3 bar.
8.
Let the unit operate in this way in closed circuit during 15 minutes.
9.
After this time, stop the unit by pressing on the red OFF (31) button.
10. Empty the solution out of the auxiliary tank and clean it with fresh mains water.
11. Put the cleaning valve (13) in reject position.
12. Carry out membranes rinsing as described in chapter 3.2 p26.
13. Fill the auxiliary tank with 10 litres of fresh water produced by the unit, or dechlorinated mains water.
14. Prepare the Acid solution B (See 752037-EXP10) by mixing in the auxiliary tank.
15. Put the cleaning valve (13) in cleaning position.
16. Completely shut the pressure regulating valve by turning it clockwise.
17. Start up the unit by pressing on the green ON (30) button, to establish a correct closed circuit cleaning flow.
18. Let the unit operate in this way in closed circuit during 15 minutes.
19. After this time, stop the unit by pressing on the red OFF (31) button.
20. Empty the solution out of the auxiliary tank and clean it with fresh mains water.
21. Put the cleaning valve (13) in reject position.
22. Carry out membranes rinsing as described in chapter 3.2 p26.
In case of long stopping, proceed with preservation operation (Chap 3.3p26)
NOTA : Membrane cleaning can be done in the factory or by your agent in a more thorough way, on a specialised bench. Contact
your agent or the factory directly.
When should the membrane be replaced?
A membrane has a lifetime of about 5 years. Then, as the plastic materials harden, the pores retighten and production will decrease. Then,
you must replace the membrane. If the membrane has accidentally taken in fuel or oil, it must be replaced.
To replace a reverse osmosis membrane, please contact us directly or through one of our dealers, to obtain the membrane replacement
specification sheet, by telling us the serial number of the membrane.
