Pots and pans
Pots and pans to be used on the induction cooktop must be free of
sharp edges or burs. Cast iron pans may only be used, if they have a
smooth level base.
Use only pots and pans approved for induction cooktops. Normally, this is
indicated by the pan manufacturer on the packaging.
All pots and pans with bases that are magnetic (test with a magnet) are
normally suitable for use on induction cooktops. We recommend testing
this with a magnet before purchasing a saucepan or pot.
Your appliance automatically detects suitable pots and pans placed on it.
► Place the pot or pan on a cooking zone with matching diameter and set the
appliance to power level 3 3 3 3 .
─ If the 3 3 3 3 symbol remains lit, the pot or pan is suitable for use on the
induction cooktop.
─ If a saucepan or pot that is too small or made of unsuitable material is
placed on the cooktop, the v v v v symbol is displayed.
Using pots and pans with base diameters that match the size of the
cooking zone ensures short heating times and good heat distribution.
Position the pot or pan so that it is centred on the cooking zone.
For pans equipped with plastic coating (e.g. Teflon) do not choose a
greater than 7 7 7 7 , as the coating could otherwise overheat and become damaged.
While on the cooktop, there might be some unusual noise from the pot or pan.
This is normal and does not in any way affect the function of the appliance.
