Application
Can be used in conjunction with: Pressurised storage
heaters, thermally and hydraulically controlled
instantaneous heaters. Operation with low-pressure
displacement water heaters is not possible.
Specifications
• Flow pressure:
min. 0.5 bar - recommended 1 - 5 bar
• Operating pressure
• Test pressure
If static pressure is greater than 5 bar, fit pressure
reducer.
Avoid major pressure differences between cold and
hot water supply.
• Flow rate at 3 bar flow pressure
• Temperature
Hot water inlet:
Recommended:
• Water connection
• Max. clamping length
Installation
Flush piping system prior and after installation of
fitting thoroughly (Consider EN 806)!
Installation and connection, see fold-out page II,
Figs. [1] and [2].
Refer to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
The cold-water supply must be connected on the right
and the hot-water supply on the left.
Fit swivel spout
Swivel range adjustable by means of stop (A),
see Fig. [1].
Note: If the support plate (B) is omitted, the clamping
length can be increased by 15mm, see Fig. [2].
Open hot and cold-water supply and check
connections for leakage!
Check fitting for correct operation, see Fig. [3].
Caution
Do not lift the lever, the security mixer opens by turning
the lever.
The water temperatur increses on turning from left to
right from cold- through mixed- to hot water.
Temperature limiter
On delivery, the temperature limiter (fitted as standard)
is inoperative.
For commissioning see "Replacing the cartridge"
point 1 to 4.
max. 10 bar
16 bar
approx. 8 l/min
(maximum) 80 °C
(energy saving) 60 °C
cold - right
hot - left
max. 60mm
Remove temperature limiter (F) and, depending on the
maximum temperature required, turn clockwise (to
increase temperature) or anticlockwise (to reduce
temperature) and refit, see Figs. [4] and [5].
Flow rate limiter
This mixer is fitted with a flow rate limiter, permitting an
infinitely individual variable reduction in the flow rate.
The highest possible flow rate is set by the factory
before despatch.
The use of flow rate limiters in combination with
hydraulic instantaneous water heaters is not
recommended.
For commissioning see "Replacing the cartridge"
point 1 to 4, Fig. [4] and [6].
Mounting of lever, see Fig. [7].
After setting of flow and temperature the lever is
replaced relative to the marking A on the cartrige. The
lever will be positioned in such a way that the fixing
screw (D) is screwed against the face marked A.
Maintenance
Inspect and clean all parts, replace as necessary and
grease with Grohe special grease.
Shut off hot and cold water supply!
I. Replacing the cartridge, see Fig. [4].
1. Turn lever (E) left (mixer closed).
2. Lever out plug (C).
3. Loosen set screw (D) with 4mm socket spanner.
4. Pull off lever (E).
5. Pull off temperature limiter (F).
6. Remove screws (G) and detach complete
cartridge (H).
7. Change the complete cartridge (H).
Observe the correct installation position.
Make sure that the cartridge seals engage in the
grooves on the housing. Fit screws (G) and tighten
evenly and alternately.
II. Unscrew and clean flow straightener (13 954), see
fold-out page I.
Assemble in reverse order.
Replacement parts, see fold-out page I ( * = special
accessories).
