The distance for a correct flash exposure is given
on the LC display of the flash unit and is adapted to
the aperture/partial light output setting.
In the camera mode "M" it is additionally neces-
sary to set a shutter speed that equals or is slower
than the camera's flash sync speed. Use a tripod
for slow shutter speeds to prevent camera shake.
6. Dedicated-flash functions
6.1 Displays in the camera viewfinder
Depending on the type of camera the informa-
tion given in the viewfinder of your camera
may differ from the examples described
below. Refer to the instructions given in your
camera manual regarding the displays in the
viewfinder.
Green flash symbol
Command to switch on or use the flash unit.
Red flash symbol
The flash unit is ready for firing.
Red flash symbol
shooting or goes out momentarily.
The exposure was correct.
Red arrow symbol
The shot was underexposed.
