New features and amendments for Eco4 models with built in CDR, [Software Version 3.1(074) and above]
Introduction
This addendum is supplied with the Eco4 units [software version 3.1(074) and above] with built in CDR and
details the new features that have been added to the unit since the manual was printed. With the introduction
of the internal CDR the Eco4 now offers a quick and easy solution for exporting images to CD for review at a
later date.
Choosing a Location for Installation
If the unit is to be installed in a closed or multi-unit rack assembly, the maximum operating ambient
temperature must not exceed 40 o C.
Important Safeguards (Page 3)
The Eco4 is available with an integrated CD writer, the following are additional warnings associated with
installing and operating the Eco4 CD device, please pay particular attention to this information
• Caution – Use of controls or adjustments of performance of procedures other than those specified
herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
• To prevent exposure to laser emanations (harmful to the eyes), do not attempt to disassemble this unit.

The illustration shows the rear panel of the Eco4 with integrated CD writer, for Eco4 units without an internal
CD writer a SCSI connector is provided to allow additional external storage to be connected to the unit.
