Contents
The set contains two liners for changing and one top stocking:
• The liners are white and have a closed toe
• The overstocking is beige and has an open toe
Together, the overstocking and the liner exert medically effective compression with:
®
• VENOSAN 8002 ULCERFIT (Ccl. II) from 23–32 mmHg.
• VENOSAN ® 8003 ULCERFIT (Ccl. III) from 34–46 mmHg.
What is the VENOSAN
You doctor has prescribed VENOSAN
The treatment system consists of two specially knitted stockings. They complement each another
in their medical effect and generate a special pressure configuration.
• The liner is normally worn day and night. This stops wound dressings from slipping
• The overstocking supports your treatment during the day by guaranteeing the defined
pressure
When treating a leg ulcer (wound) your doctor integrates the stocking system into the correct
phase of wound management, which always includes a suitable dressing.
Indications for the compression stocking system
• Treatment of a leg ulcer (crural ulcer) after oedema reduction
• Prevention of recurrence of chronic venous ulcers
Contraindications
Do not use VENOSAN
• Advanced peripheral arterial occlusive diseases (problems with the circulation in the
femoral vessels)
• Decompensated cardiac insufficiency (myocardial insufficiency)
• Septic phlebitis (bacterial phlebitis)
• Phlegmasia coerulea dolens (acute, massive venous occlusion with blue discolouration and
marked swelling of the leg)
• Material intolerance
• Sensitivity disorders of the extremity
Special caution with use is required for patients with:
• Diabetes mellitus
• Mixed ulcers
Important information
• The stocking system must be fitted individually by medically trained specialist personnel.
• The stocking system may only be used together with a suitable wound dressing for treating
leg ulcers.
• If your toes become discoloured during use, or if you develop unusual pain in the lower limbs,
stop wearing the stockings and please contact your doctor without delay.
• Please follow your doctor's instructions and do not change your treatment yourself.
• The manufacturer bears no liability for incorrect use or any changes you yourself make to
the product.
