2. Apply clockwise pressure to the carriage handle
until the dies engage the pipe for 3 to 4 threads.
From this point on, you can release the carriage
handle and a standard taper thread will be cut
automatically.

3. When the die head roller drops down over the end
of the profiling board, the dies will open and the
thread will be complete.
4. Switch off. Turn the carriage handle to the right to
release the die head from the pipe. Then raise the
handle on the die head and the profiling board will
return to its original position.
5. Release the chuck and rear chuck by knocking the
hammer wheel away from you. The pipe can then
be removed. However, it may be easier to first pull
out the die head lock knob and raise the die head
before releasing the chuck and rear chuck.

until the dies bite the pipe firmly. Once the dies
fully engage the pipe, they will travel smoothly by
themselves, but optimum cutting performance will be
achieved by applying slight pressure to the carriage
handle to keep pace with the movement of the dies.
handle to keep pace with the movement of the dies.
If the machine suddenly stops while you are threading
a pipe, turn the machine off immediately. Any delay
could result in the motor burning out.
2. Be sure to start threading with the carriage to the
right of the red line on the front support bar. If
you start threading from left of the red line, the
die head is likely to hit the chuck and damage the
machine.
