4. Make sure you allow for a "drip-loop" on the power cord to prevent any water from potentially entering the controller.

7. When all plumbing connections are made, slowly turn on the water supply and check for leaks. The most likely cause for
leaks is from o-ring seals. In case of a leak at the chamber, shut water off, remove the retaining nut, wipe the o-ring and
threads clean and re-install. In case of a leak at the filters, remove the sump, wipe the o-ring and threads clean, ensure
the o-ring is properly seated, then reinstall.
8. Once it is determined that there are no leaks, plug the system into the ground fault interrupter, and check controller to
ensure the system is operating properly.The controller is designed to detect both power to the system and UV lamp
illumination.
Note: DO NOT look directly at the glowing UV lamp.
9. Allow the water to run for a few minutes to clear any air or dust that may be in the chamber.
Note: When there is no flow, the water in the cell will become warm, as the UV lamp is always on. To remedy this, run a
cold water tap anywhere in the house for a minute to flush out the warm water.
3.2 Disinfection Procedure
UV disinfection is a physical process and does not add any potentially harmful chemicals to the water. As UV does not
provide a disinfection residual, it is imperative that the entire distribution system located after the UV be chemically
disinfected to ensure that the water is free from any bacteriological contaminants. The disinfection process must be
performed immediately after the UV unit is installed and repeated thereafter whenever the UV is shut down for service,
without power, or inoperative for any reason. The procedure for sanitizing the plumbing system is readily accomplished as
follows:

4. Descarte el cartucho usado y, en caso necesario, limpie las carcasas del cárter. Asegúrese de enjuagar a fondo el

juntas tóricas están fijas en la parte superior del cárter (Consulte

5. Asegúrese de que las juntas tóricas está bien cubiertas con lubricante a base de silicona.
6. Instale el nuevo cartucho realizando el procedimiento inverso a como se explica más arriba y gire el collar en la dirección
de las agujas del reloj hasta que el cárter esté apretado.
Nota: No lo apriete demasiado.
7. Enchufe la unidad UV a la toma del circuito con descarga a tierra (GFCI) y encienda el sistema.
8. Abra despacio el suministro de agua y permita que salga el aire que pudiera haber en el sistema pulsando el botón de alivio
de presión en la parte superior del cárter hasta que el aire del filtro se haya purgado. Ahora puede volver a usar el equipo.

Funcionamiento
El avanzado sistema de advertencia se ha instalado para ofrecer una protección óptima contra la contaminación microbiológica en el agua. NO haga
caso omiso de las señales de advertencia. La mejor forma de garantizar el funcionamiento óptimo de UV es que una agencia de pruebas reconocida
realice análisis microbiológicos de forma periódica.
5.1 Sistemas Básicos que incorporan los controladores BA-ICE-CL

5.1.1 Vida restante de la lámpara (días)
El controlador registra el número de días de funcionamiento de la lámpara UV y del controlador. La pantalla
predeterminada indica la vida total restante de la lámpara (en días). El controlador seguirá contando el número de días
que quedan hasta que sea necesario sustituir la lámpara UV (de 365 días a 1 día). Cuando llegue a "0", el controlador
mostrará en la pantalla
la necesidad de cambiar la lámpara UV.
