4. GETTING YOUR WASHINE MACHINE READY FOR USE
4.1 Unpacking Your Washing Machine
1. Remove the Washing Machine from the box. Throw away the plastic bag. Do not throw
away the box as this may be required for future storage.
2. Check all the parts are included.
3. Remove all the tape in the unit.
4. Find a location for your Washing Machine that is protected from direct sunlight and
other sources of heat (i.e.: stove, furnace, radiator).
5. Place the Washing Machine on a level surface.
6. The appliance must be positioned so that the plug is accessible.
4.2 Cleaning and Maintaining Your Washing Machine
Before using your Washing Machine, it is strongly recommended to clean it thoroughly.
1. Clean the interior with diluted detergent, warm water and a soft cloth.
2. Then use the water to rinse the inside parts, and drain out the water by turning the
Wash Select Switch to Drain and using the Drain Hose.
3. The outside of the Washing Machine should be cleaned regularly with a mild detergent
solution and warm water.
4. Dry the interior and exterior with a soft cloth.
5. When the machine is not in use for a long time make sure all water is drained from the
machine using the drain hose.
4.3 Pre-Washing Preparations
Before using your Washing Machine, it is important to check the following:
1. Check all pockets of clothing being washed and remove any coins, hairpins etc.
2. Check that for any special washing instructions which cannot be performed in this
washing machine and wash items separately.
3. Any clothing with buttons, zips or long tie strings should be fastened, zipped up and tied
up.
4. To reduce noise whilst washing any materials with buttons should be placed inside
alternate items.
5. For heavily soiled items, please first remove the excess dirt and dust. Detergent can also
be pre-applied to the heavily soiled area.
6. Remove any non-colourfast items from main washing and wash separately.
4.4 Capacity Information
The Washing Tubs Capacity is 3.6kg/8lb and the Spin Tubs Capacity is 2kg/4.4lb.
The capacity refers to the amount of laundry under dry conditions which can be washed or
dried at one time.
Do not overfill the machine it is better to be slightly under weight than over.
